The Energy Systems Integration Group (ESIG) is hosting a no-cost webinar titled "Interaction Between Transmission and Distribution Planning with DER Deployment".

The question of how to transition a power system to reliably, effectively and efficiently operate in a future with an increasingly material distributed energy resources (DER) and 'prosumers' occupies many minds around the world. The interface between transmission systems and distribution networks is one of the critical junctures in this evolution, and the way planning and operations happens across that interface is evolving rapidly, as a consequence. In this webinar, teams from the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and the European Network for Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) will share their collected insights from Europe and North America on the promises and challenges of improving coordination across the transmission and distribution divide.
